Wow… it’s been since November??
I decided against all possible reason not to quit and keep writing. By a major miracle, I managed to write 39,000 words in ten days and won. You can see the graph on the right.
Never give up.
I’ve very pleased with myself, but also horrified slightly about how stubborn I can be. Nonetheless, mission accomplished, and I have a new Krueger novel to edit this year. I don’t recommend this approach to Nanowrimo.
Of course, that doesn’t explain the rest of the time from December 1st until now. It’s a blur, but I think it went something like this:
Overwhelmed from too much writing and holiday events, author Harry Heckel experienced cosmic forces beyond all comprehension. In a freak mishap, his blogger life support systems were frozen by temperatures beyond imagination. He was blown out of his planned blogging cadence into a cycle 1000 times more vast which was to return him to blogging three months later!
Okay, perhaps that’s not exactly right, but I did watch Buck Rogers as a kid.
What I did have to do, however, was edit The Pitchfork of Destiny by Jack Heckel. I have good news on that front as well. I have passed edits and copyedits along with my co-author John Peck, and we are both expecting a successful release in April.
For everyone who has been checking the site, I’m terribly sorry that it’s been so long since I blogged, but thank you for continuing to check. I have a number of things I want to post, so hopefully, it won’t be very long before the next one.
All the best!
